Alright Guys (Book #1 + 2)

Hey guys! How’s it going? My name is Ethan and I am excited to start this blog and keep your entertainment level at a maximum. This blog will be all about my readings over the next few weeks. I will start with a book I have heard is pretty great…Game of Thrones (A Song of Fire and Ice #1). This book a written by George R. R. Martin, a previous writer on the fictitious show, The Twilight Zone. The Twilight Zone captures a new, haunting fantasy every episode with an ingenious twist at the end. With a creative show like this, I have no reason expect a poor novel from Martin. I have heard positive feedback about the book and understand that the mythical world of kings and dragons Martin places the reader in, is unmatched. Well, better get to reading. I have 800 pages of expectation to fulfill. See you all later, peace.

  1. Allllllriiighhhhtt Guysss. What's good Ethan? I have decided to follow your blog through out this journey and I hope you do the same! My first thoughts are "WOW! You picked one hefty read." I hope it counts for two books, maybe even three. After seeing the book it is super thick and the print is pretty small. Good luck reading it, but from what I have heard you will not be dissapointed at all. Seeing the reactions of many people who watch the show, I can only assume the book will be much better. I wish you the best of luck on this crazy endeavor!

Also, if you do enjoy the book I will definitely be picking it up this summer!

  2. What's up Ethan? I hope your reading is living up to your expectations. I also hope you have been able to keep up with all of the characters names, because I hear there is an insane amount and they are all very similar. I know a lot of people who watch the show and I have been told it is fantastic. After you finish it could be interesting to see how the show stacks up to the book. It seems like you have the opportunity for a lot of Game of Thrones ahead of you in the remaining books and the TV series, so hopefully you enjoy this one enough to pursue the others. Good luck reading and good luck with those names.

  3. Ohhhhh yesssssssss. Game of Thrones is fricken' fantastic! It's a long read, but I guarantee that you're going to love it, Martin does a fantastic job on it. I wouldn't be surprised if you finish it and choose to read the other books on your own, it's so good. Just a tip for when you read: beware of spoilers. If you search Game of Thrones on the internet, there are spoilers EVERYWHERE, and those spoilers make the story so much more interesting. Keep us updated on the reading, because I expect that it'll be an interesting read.

  4. I thought at first that my first read was lengthy but I took a look at one page from your book and I haven't complained since. I hope you can lose yourself in the story the way I have with my book. It makes the read seem to go by a lot faster. I also looked at a "map" of the land in Game of Thrones that Lukas showed me and if you can just keep track of that, I would be impress. Good luck in reading!
